The purpose of Operation Friendship International (OFI) is to draw together consenting national organisations of under the umbrella of Operation Friendship for the mutual benefit of all organisations on a national level. Together with OFI, the inidvidual organisations in each country help to promote the purposes and goals of each member country.
In general terms, Operation Friendship is dedicated to the fostering of international friendships and understanding among youth and adults, introducing participants to the social, educational, religious, and secular heritage of each member country and encouraging youth initiative and leadership in participant countries.
