Sweden was finally "back on track" in the excange with USA. As for everyone else the pandemic made us loose almost all our host families and we had to start again from almost zero. However, we found four families and we where able to start up again!
During the period 13 - 30 of July we hosted a group of four delegates + advisor, three girls and one boy. Two of them came from Massachusetts and two from Indiana.
After a welcome dinner and some sightseeing in Gothenburg we took the group on a four days trip to Stockholm. We visited the Royal Castel with the Changing of Guards, the Vasa Museum, strolled around i the Old City, and last but not least we spent an afternoon at the ABBA museum.
Back in Gothenburg we visited World of Volvo, Universeum, Liseberg (the amusement park), Chalmers University of Technology. The evenings were often free for social activites. Some days were spent at one of the families summer home and one day on a boat trip in the Archipelago.
We are all very happy to be back in the program again and the young people are now looking forward to their weeks in Palmer Massachusetts in July.
